GoPro has announced its latest and greatest Hero3 extreme action cameras today which are twice as fast, have a 30% smaller form factor and are 25% lighter than their predecessors. The Hero3 comes in three different models that include the $400 Black Edition, $300 Silver Edition and the $200 White Edition. All three feature a new user interface, built-in WiFi, Improved audio recording and wind-noise reduction, rugged waterproof housing, full 1080p HD video recording at 30fps or 720p HD video at 60fps, reduced distortion and improved sharpness thanks to the redesigned flat lens.

GoPro's higher end Hero3 Black Edition includes a waterproof wireless WiFi remote control and is capable of shooting 1080p at a higher 60fps than its two new siblings. But for your $400, it will boast superior low-light performance and will also shoot massive 4K at a diminutive 12fps and 2.7K video resolutions at an impressive 30fps and packs a 12-megapixel sensor for still photos. The difference between the White Edition and Silver Edition Hero3 cameras is a 5-megapixel sensor compared to the 11-megapixel sensor inside the Silver Edition. GoPro's Hero3 cameras are now available for pre-order and are expected to start shipping near the end of the month.

IKEA's Cardboard Digital Camera, Want's To Replace Your Smartphone

IKEA has always been the go-to giant retailer for great modern, budget furniture and tasty cafeteria food. Apparently IKEA might start selling these disposable-like digital cameras made out of recyclable cardboard you won't have to put together yourself. IKEA's budget point-and-shoot runs on two user replaceable AA batteries and can store up to 40 photos on its on-board USB flash drive which flips out of the side when time comes to upload those Swedish meatball pics you took straight to your computer.

By the extremely cheap looks of it, we're thinking IKEA's reusable cardboard digital camera will retail for no more than $10.

Nikon Outs D3200 Entry Level DSLR With 24MP

Just like that, Nikon has just added the D3200 to its entry level DSLR bevy to replace the D3100. As a kit, Nikon's D3200 is set to retail for just under $700 and will include the body along with a basic 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G kit lens with VR (Vibration Reduction). Nikon wants to push the pixel count to the max giving the D3200 a massive 24.2-megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor coupled with the same Expeed 3 processor found in Nikon's D4 that's capable of shooting full HD 1080p video for point-and-shoot, ease of awesomeness.

Is black too boring for you? Well then, the D3200 also comes in this candy apple red color too. Besides the 24-megapixel sensor, the D3200 is capable of continues shooting at 4fps, ISO sensitivity ranging from true 100 to 6400 (expandable up to 12800 for epic grainy images), 60fps video capture option at 720p and a 3-inch back screen with Live View. Nikon claims that the D3200 is capable of performing well in low-light conditions, but we're skeptical. Expect to get your hands on the D3200 kit later this month in either black or red.

This iPhone 5 Can Shoot 3D

China never ceases to amaze. Rumors have been going around that the next generation iPhone will sport dual LED flash, a better back facing camera and a larger display. Well take a look at what we've got here, an iPhone 5 with dual LED flash and dual back facing cameras to supposedly shoot 3D video. Not only is this iPhone 5 3D fake, it's utterly ridiculous. But thanks for the good laugh, China. This is exactly why we've got a 'ridiculous' category to put this under.
