Droid X Gets Officially Announced
Today in New York, Motorola announced the latest version of their Droid range of phones; The Droid X. This brand new android phone will run a less intrusive version of MotoBlur, called NinjaBlur and here is the full list of features below:
- Released on July 15th for $200
- 1Ghz TI OMAP 4630 Processor
- Runs Android 2.1 with Ninjablur but going to be upgraded to 2.2 Froyo later this summer
- 512MB of RAM
- 8GB Internal Memory, comes with a 16GB card which is expandable up to 32Gb
- 4.3" Screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio
- 854x480 Display Resolution
- 8Mp Auto focus camera with 720p video recording
- Duel LED Flash
- 1930mAh Battery back available in a few months, but adds only 1mm extra thickness!
- Full Flash 10 support
- Data Plan totally unlimited says Verizon CEO
- Wifi Hotspot that can connect up to 5 other devices ($20/mo extra)
- Tethering support, that adds 2Gb cap of data
- Enterprise support with exchange support, push email, corporate directory, security protocols and remote wipe
- For existing Verizon customers, you can update any time in 2010 for $200 a/r
