Apple's iPhone 6s Smart Battery Case Is Unexpectedly Ugly

Fashionably late to the accessory game as always, Apple has finally gotten around to making an official battery case for the iPhone. It took Apple nearly two years to come up with this rather ugly design for an iPhone battery case. Apple's newly released Smart Battery Case for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 is essentially one of Apple's protective Silicone Cases with a battery attached to the back in the form of a raised bump. Not exactly what you would expect from Apple's sleek design prowess isn't it.

Cabin Brings MagSafe-Like Capabilities & Backup Power To iPhone

Cabin by a start-up compact called Hevo Labs is taking on Apple at its own game with possibly the sleekest charging accessory ever to be put on Kickstarter. And yes, this is yet another Kickstarter product that has surpassed its original funding goal of $50,000 within days. It seems like all the coolest product ideas stem from this amazing crowed-funding platform. All applauding aside, Cabin is an iPhone accessory that is trying to tackles two different things at once using the brilliant power of magnetism. This is one of those accessories that you'll desperately want.

Although it doesn't have the most attractive product name, Cabin sure does impress us with its all-aluminum and possibly the best looking, ultra-slim battery pack which attaches to the back of the iPhone 5 or iPhone 5s using a MagSafe-like magnetic connection. It was designed to be as unobtrusive as possible, yet it still packs a 2200mAh rechargeable battery under a svelte-looking, contoured aluminum unibody construction - which we think fits Apple's design language better than any battery case out there. That's partly because the Cabin battery isn't really a case.

Mophie Juice Pack Battery Case For HTC One Released

Lo and behold, Mophie was quick to release a Juice Pack battery case for the HTC One. It took the company months to release its iPhone 5 battery cases, but as Android gains more and more popularity with devices like the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4 standing on solid ground as the Android handsets, accessories for these are becoming more prevalent. Mophie's Juice Pack for HTC's One is a svelte $100 battery case packing a 2500mAh rechargeable battery enough to replenish your One with nearly a full extra charge. The Juice Pack is designed to follow the original contoured design of the One as much as possible while featuring an integrated volume button rocker and support for the universal IR remote button. You can of course charge and sync your One thru USB while its protected inside the Juice Pack.

Mophie's Juice Pack for the HTC One is available starting today in a smooth rubbery coated black finish, as well as a silver equivalent which will only be available in mid-May. Mophie has yet to announce plans to release a version for the Galaxy S4.

Mophie Juice Pack Pro, The Toughest iPhone Battery Case Yet

Mophie has announced a new battery case that will join its Juice Pack line of highly praised iPhone battery cases very soon. The Juice Pack Pro is the company's most rugged iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 battery case ever. It features an ultra-tough and rugged co-molded rubber and polycarbonate design that's impact resistant and offers superior drop protection that exceeds military specs along with water splashing and rain, sand and dust as well as vibration and shock protection. The Juice Pack Pro is said to have a very large battery capacity, though Mophie has yet to release the exact specs we're banking on a massive 3200mAh 2500mAh built-in rechargeable battery, a built-in screen shield, sealed ports and it'll also be accompanied with a belt clip. Mophie's Juice Pack Pro will most likely retail at around $130.

Kensington's new BungeeAir Power Wireless Security Tether battery case is a slim 3-in-1 case that not only can it juice up your iPhone 4 with its built-in 1500mAh battery, but perhaps the most useful feature it packs is a wireless security alert system that will alert you should you forget your iPhone 4 and it'll alert you right away even before you can get far away from it. When the BungeeAir case senses that it has been left behind, it will immediately alert the BungeeAir key fob that you'll be carrying around with you that will alert you by loud beeping noises as well as vibration. It will also lock your iPhone 4's screen requiring a passcode as a precautionary step in case someone is quick on their feet to find your missing iPhone 4. It also has a built-in stand for landscape and portrait viewing angles. Apple should really consider handing these out to its employees from now on.

The BungeeAir security system also works both ways in case you lose your keys with the BungeeAir key fob attached to help you find them quicker. There is of course a limiting proximity in which both wireless receivers can work in and that also depends on the environment.
