WaveJamr Stereo Bluetooth Wireless Audio Receiver Review

With the release of the iPhone 5 and the Lightning connector, all your old accessories have essentially been shunned by Apple unless you choose to buy the extra adapter for an additional Apple premium-ed $30. Your old iHomes and speaker docks are just going to lay in a box and gather dust… unless you have the WaveJamr, a Bluetooth audio interface that allows you to continue using your speaker system's docking port and rock out to your playlists on your iPhone 5 through Bluetooth connectivity. Skip on past the cut to see if the WaveJamr is all it's cracked up to be.

This small and teal colored accessory comes cleanly packaged and is as simple as it looks. Constructed out of plastic, the WaveJamr is just something you'd bring along with you whenever you wanted wireless streaming to your stereo speakers or any other speakers with a 30-pin dock. As you can imagine, there isn't a whole lot of extra flashy features to show off.

Simply place the WaveJamr onto any 30-pin connector to get it powered up. A LED on the corner lights up to tell you it's on and ready to pair. It will flash continuously while pairing a device and once that is completed, go to your device and start playing your tunes from up to 33 feet away.

As the WaveJamr is a Bluetooth capable accessory, you can pair it with just about any device that has Bluetooth, whether it is your iPhone, laptop, tablets, iPods, Android devices, and anything else you'd possibly want, it'll work just fine.

Accompanying the WaveJamr is Radtech's ProCable LineOut that is sold separately but works nicely with the aux-in port in your car. However, it will still work with any other speakers with an aux-in port as well. Now you can rock out in your car wirelessly as well; wireless anything is always the better option.

This is an excellent accessory to replace those expensive Bluetooth speakers out on the market and a great option to play your music in the car as well. It also serves as a solution to the Lightning connector issue the new iDevices are rolling out with. For $39.95, the WaveJamr is a convenient little thing that does exactly what it's told to do. If you want to try it out in your car, the ProCable LineOut is available for $23.95.
