Behringer iNuke Boom, World's Largest Most Powerful Speaker Dock

When was the last time you literally ROFL'd looking at a speaker dock? Behringer's iNuke Boom is said to be the most massive speaker dock ever to be announced measuring 8 feet wide by 4 feet tall, and weighing at a staggering 700 pounds. It's the world's first, most powerful speaker dock made for iPhone and iPod with over 10,000 Watts of power, enough to open up your own little movie theater. If Behringer comes thru with such a ridiculous speaker dock at CES 2012, which it claims to have a model on the showroom floor, consumers are looking not only as a humongous beasts but also at a costly price tag of $30,000. We don't think the iNuke Boom will ever see the day of light. Behringer hasn't released any other details other than taunting all others with how big their black dock is.

Stem Outs Time Command Mini Alarm Clock Speaker Dock

Stem has released a mini version of its much larger Time Command alarm clock speaker dock for the iPad, iPhone and iPod called the Time Command Mini. Stem wanted to take up less space on your nightstand without sacrificing audio quality. The app-enhanced Time Command Mini carries with it all of its bigger bro's features including the unique pivoting dock connector supports devices in or out of most protective cases to make docking easier than ever. The curved LED is fully dimmable using buttons on the clock or within the app.

The compact alarm clock speaker dock is said to offer surprisingly big sound in a small footprint as it plays audio from and charges iPad, iPhone or iPod. With the help of the free Stem:Connect app, features like SafeWake ensure that you wake on time and when you plug in your iOS device your time and app-set alarms are automatically transferred to the Time Command Mini when you dock. It's available right now for $79.95.

Audyssey Debuts Lower East Side Audio Dock Air With AirPlay

Our favorite speaker dock maker, Audyssey, has announced of a new AirPlay wireless music streaming machine of a speaker dock called the Lower East Side Audio Dock Air. Yes that's a long time, and yes this is in many ways similar to the good old South Of Market speaker dock we reviewed and fell in love with last year, only with less of a head turning streamline design. Audyssey's latest and greatest promises to outperform any comparably priced AirPlay audio dock on the market thanks to Audyssey's proprietary Smart Speaker technology. These are big words we can just about believe after using Audyssey's South Of Market dock. Wireless streaming is obviously the main focus here, so much that there isn't an actual dock to dock your iPhone or iPod. You'll be able to stream music from your computer using iTunes and with iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad with AirPlay.

under the hood, the Lower East Side Audio Dock Air is packing two 4-inch passive bass radiators for that signature rumbling deep lows Audyssey is known for, two 3-inch midrange woofers, two 1-inch tweeters all delivering distortion-free, power and precise sound quality. If you feel like using some cables, there are 3.5mm line input and 3.5mm headphone output ports as well. Good sound doesn't come cheap, you'll be dropping $400 on the Lower Easy Side Audio Dock Air. It'll be available starting November. 

Revo K2 Speaker Dock Is To Lust For

Revo's new K2 might be the most amazing digital radio speaker dock I've ever seen. Enclosed inside this aluminum and moulded rubber tower are a series of 4, 58mm Balanced Mode Radiator speaker drivers and dual Audium Class-D amplifiers for a room filing, 360 degree sound that is promised to have a clear and detailed high-end, rich tones and lets not forget the deep bass. In order to take control of the K2's features, a fully featured button control area is located at the top of the tower while a large OLED display helps you see what internet radio station you're listening to while the motorized dock slides out and enables docking for Apple's iPad, iPhone and iPod. No word on if the K2 has any clock or alarm capabilities, though it's safe to assume that a clock interface is likely to be include in there somewhere. I know I would love to put that gorgeous white OLED display to good use any chance I get. 

The K2 isn't only capable of streaming internet radio but also supports other radio formats such as DAB, DAB+, FM and even Last.fm integration. Other features the K2 boasts include an array of connection options like stereo RCA, LAN, digital optical out, Apple video out and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Revo's K2 speaker dock is WiFi enabled for wireless music streaming from any Mac or PC. Users will have access to a free iOS app made by Revo called RadioControl that acts as a remote control and also enables users to access their iTunes music library to wirelessly stream content to the K2 speaker dock.

The Revo K2 will be available worldwide on October 17 with a £299.95 price tag. No word on US pricing. This is one fully featured speaker dock any Apple enthusiast will surely fall in love with. Take that all you other plastic speaker docks!

WALdok, Wall Plug-In Speaker Dock

Not to be confused with Waldo, the WALdok comes to us from Kickstarter and it's a small form-factor speaker dock for the iPhone 3G/S, iPhone 4 and iPod nano, Classic and Touch that plugs directly into your wall outlet providing power to the WALdok while also charging your iPhone or iPod. Not only will you be able to plug the WALdok directly into a wall outlet, its got an internal rechargeable battery allowing it to become a desk speaker. You're not going to get surround sound using this little speaker but it's a pretty nice little gadget. If you want to pre-order one of these, you know the Kickstarter drill by now.
