Just Mobile Gum++ Backup Battery Review

For years Just Mobile has been making things out of aluminum, nice and helpful things too. Its aluminum-made rechargeable backup battery packs were and continue to be one of the nicest looking on the market. To grow and improve its line of electricity harnessing banks, Just Mobile's most recent release includes the Gum++ (or Gum Plus Plus), a 6000mAh external backup battery follow-up to the aluminum-made Gum Plus that boasts an ultra-portable form factor that features a high-powered USB output port capable of filling up smartphones, tablets and just about any inanimate object that's got a USB port on it with extended hours of usage.

Redesigned with a hard-wearing ABS plastic shell, the Gum++ is supposedly more durable than its aluminum predecessor and can charge your smartphone up to three times over. As always, we conducted our own testing using multiple devices to find out if any of these claims really stick. Our full review awaits!

LifeProof Nuud Waterproof iPhone 5 Case Review

Nearly a full year has past since we published our review of the Fre waterproof case, and in that time LifeProof has been working hard to create the next revolutionary waterproof case for the iPhone 5. The Nuud is LifeProof's latest offering, an innovative waterproof case with screenless technology borrowed from the company's Nuud for the iPad - the first case to have pioneered this brilliant concept. And in doing so, LifeProof has fixed the most troublesome area that has affected every case model since the inception of the LifeProof case. The Nuud no longer requires an integrated screen protector which means you can now directly touch your iPhone's glass touchscreen without of course sacrificing invaluable waterproof prowess.

We waited a long time for this day to finally come, and so now we must put the Nuud through its paces in order to find out if it's really the best waterproof iPhone 5 case on the market. Check out our full review right after the cut!

Griffin Survivor + Catalyst Waterproof iPhone 5 Case Review

Oh yeah, Griffin's ruggedized Survivor case received a subaquatic upgrade recently making it impervious not only to drops, shock, vibrations, dirt and rain - but also to water submersion. Survior + Catalyst is its name, and this $70 waterproof iPhone 5 case was destined to live underwater and in extreme conditions. Using the Survivor name to its advantage, Griffin hopes to extend its original concept of what an ultra-tough iPhone case is all about with this new waterproof design which is surprisingly tougher than the original Survivor case.

Summertime is in full effect, and you're probably looking around for that one case to live with for the next few months. Trouble is, not all cases are good enough to use. Maximum protection always starts with waterproofing when it comes to protecting our gadgets, and over the years there have been numerous attempts at making the best waterproof iPhone case, however, we've yet to find that perfect case which can balance protection with unhindered functionality and everyday usability. We're here to put Griffin's ultimate iPhone 5 case through our relentless reviewing criteria. The Survivor + Catalyst is Griffin's new toughest case with an unpretentiously sleek design, but is it any good?

Lunatik Seismik iPhone 5 Case Review

While it pains me when I've got to give up using a case like the one I've been recently using and have reviewed, the Ronin Titanium G10 by Element Case, to continue on with having to spend time testing out the next case which happens to be the Seismik case for the iPhone 5, surprisingly the transition from an ultra-premium $350 case to a regular one that costs $35 isn't as bad as you would think.

Leaving behind such a special case is something you wouldn't want to be doing willingly. Fortunately, I do enjoy a superb non-premium case with cool features once in a while and that case just so happens to be the Seismik. A case made by Lunatik, designed by the renowned design firm MNML and made available for the iPhone 5 and now also the Seismik Touch for the iPod touch 5, the Seismik is a special kind of case in its own right. Element Case Ronin Titanium G10 iPhone 5 Case Review

Designed and built by a company many would call avant-garde in California, the Ronin also known as the Ronin Ti.2 is Element Case's flagship and most exquisite iPhone 5 case. But we're not here to review Element Case's standard Ronin case made with exotic South American Bocote hardwood and anodized aluminum. Instead, we have got our hands on the new Ronin Titanium G10 edition case for the iPhone 5 which is the most expensive thing Element Case has ever introduced. Just to hear how much one of these limited edition cases cost requires a glass of water and you sitting down. A Titanium G10 Ronin case will suck your wallet dry in a blink of an eye because it costs $350. That's nearly as much as what a new 64GB iPhone 5 retails for.

Charging docks this innovative are one in a million. The OCDock is one of the many incredible things to have originated due to the crowed-funding platform Kickstarter. It is also a part of a rather small group of truly innovative accessories that has gathered a great deal of iPhone and iMac-using followers. The problem with docks these days is that while they may be minimalist to the utmost degree, they still take up desk space and look like a wired mouse with an exposed cable running from behind. We love to cut the cord on just about everything don't we? That is what OCDesk set out do achieve with their OCDock dock for the iPhone 4/S and iPhone 5. It was designed to seamlessly flow with the iMac or Thunderbolt Display whilst cleverly concealing its cable to form super clean desk setup any Apple enthusiast will fall in love with.
