Everyone Wants A Piece of the Apple Store

Does this look familiar to you? This is Barnes & Noble's new Nook in-store product placements or show room if you like to call it. This is very similarly planned to Apple's store showcase of products, with working display Nooks for customers to interact with. 

And here we have Microsoft's store which even more resembles an Apple store with similar product placement, lighted logo and mixed color shirted employees everywhere.

Yesterdays prediction about new Mac Pros and iMacs seem to have come true. As if you pop over to the Apple Store right now there is the usual "Updating Store" notice which leads me to believe that they are going to update the long overdue desktop Macs. Along with the update for the desktop Macs, there were also rumours about a 27" Cinema Display to accompany the new Mac Pro. Apple, Rumors Apple Store iPhone/iPad App Coming Tomorrow?

Nobody has much info on this at the moment, but BGR says that one of their Apple sources knows about an Apple-created appn for the iPhone and iPad that is set to be released tomorrow. It is supposed to be a Mobile version of Apple.com but as an app. It will be free in the App Store and will be able to make Genius Bar appointments, check product stock, book one to one training sessions, and shop the entire Apple product list. Apparently, the one of the reasons of this app is to let the user check in more swiftly to genius and training appointments. However we’ll know tomorrow…
