Apple Announces First Generation iPod Nano Replacement Program

Do you have a first generation iPod Nano that’s on its last legs? Well good news for you Apple has announced a replacement program to address an issue (in “very rare cases”) which may cause your Nano to over heat and possibly cause serious safety risk.

Apple recommends that you stop using your iPod Nano immediately and follow the process directions to receive your new iPod Nano free of charge. Those of you with the first generation Nano can fill out a claim form to confirm eligibility for a replacement.

Sinch Wants To Keep Your Headphone Wires Tangle-Free

After endless amounts of cable management solutions, the Sinch tries to take a stab at organizing your in-ear headphone wires in a more innovative way using flexible strip with powerful magnets to help keep it clinged together while neatly securing those wires of yours. The Sinch wants to keep your in-ear and earbud headphones tangle-free and doesn't care that obviously most already are. While the Sinch looks like an innovative solution, its idea of organizing your cables isn't all that great. You'll still have to wrap your cables around your device while the Sinch offers a bit of help to keep them more tidy while it attaches to your headphones' 3.5mm plug and piggy backs on the back of your device.

Do you smell that? It's the smell of gimmick right there. I really hope you aren't using those awful Apple earbuds. In any case, the Sinch is available in black and white for $15.99.

NuForce Icon iDo Amp Adds Audiophile Grade Audio To iPod, iPhone & iPad

NuForce has released a new amp called the Icon iDo that promises to improve your iPod, iPad and iPhone's compressed audio quality to CD quality sound by bypassing Apple's own built-in DAC (digital-to-analog-converter) by connecting to your Dock Connector port via USB to deliver audiophile grade audio playback with low-jitter. All that sounds great until you find out that you need to plug the Icon iDo to an external power supply to power it up. Not so portable now is it? But with that extra power, the Icon iDo amp can power up those juice-hungry headphones of yours without a sweat. It can also be plugged into your home stereo system with its RCA and digital Coaxial outputs. NuForce's Icon iDo amp features an LED volume indicator gauge on the front with a smooth volume knob and an aluminum enclosure. Available in 4 colors for $249.

Plug Your iPod Into This Mini Amplifier

This Mini Amplifier might not be a Marshall, its got small speakers and a mini amp disguised inside a pretty neat looking amplifier box with bass and treble adjustment knobs. I highly doubt that the knobs even work, let alone expect any good sound quality out of this little thing. The Mini Amplifier can be powered using 4 AA batteries or a USB cable. While it's not a charging dock, it does have some sort of dock looking stand that will fit an iPod Classic. Connection is made using a 3.5mm audio cable allowing various other music players to be used. A mere working novelty item that you can get for $26.

Thanks for the tip, Kenneth!
