Une Bobine: A Bendy Dock On A Flexible Stand

If the classic Apple docks are just too plain and simple for you, then FuseChicken’s Une Bobine is a great replacement for your iPhone docking needs. Simply stick it on the dock and bend the cable whichever way and angle you please. It also acts as a fantastic stand since you can manipulate it to fit all of your needs; placing it in front of you or in landscape mode lets you have a much more comfortable viewing angle.

This Kickstarter project has exceeded its funding goal and will be available for shipping around 2 months from now. If you can’t wait to get your hands on one of these, you can pledge $25 on Kickstarter to preorder this unique accessory.

NuForce Icon iDo Amp Adds Audiophile Grade Audio To iPod, iPhone & iPad

NuForce has released a new amp called the Icon iDo that promises to improve your iPod, iPad and iPhone's compressed audio quality to CD quality sound by bypassing Apple's own built-in DAC (digital-to-analog-converter) by connecting to your Dock Connector port via USB to deliver audiophile grade audio playback with low-jitter. All that sounds great until you find out that you need to plug the Icon iDo to an external power supply to power it up. Not so portable now is it? But with that extra power, the Icon iDo amp can power up those juice-hungry headphones of yours without a sweat. It can also be plugged into your home stereo system with its RCA and digital Coaxial outputs. NuForce's Icon iDo amp features an LED volume indicator gauge on the front with a smooth volume knob and an aluminum enclosure. Available in 4 colors for $249.

Ivy Bridge Supporting Both USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt

According to CNET, Intel has publicly committed to supporting USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt on its up-and-coming 'Ivy Bridge platform'. USB 3.0 is ten times faster than the current USB 2.0 standard but it has not embraced on any Intel Chipset, or AMD. USB 3.0 is supported by using a 3rd party chipset to handle the interface. Intel is still encouraging developers to use Thunderbolt, which can support more data and video on a single cable than USB 3.0 can. Hopefully we will see both on the next generation of Macbook Pro's.
