Ultimate Ears UE Roll Portable Wireless Speaker Review

Ultimate Ears has recently introduced a bold new portable wireless speaker to replace its cheeky little $100 UE Mini Boom that is supposedly the company's "most adventure-seeking speaker yet". The UE Roll as it's called is a small, spherically-shaped and ultra-compact portable Bluetooth speaker that blasts beats in a full 360-degrees and is designed to be used in all sorts of tasking environments thanks to its durable, shock/drop-resistant and IPX7-rated waterproof construction – including its ability to attach onto almost anything using a built-in marine-grade bungee cord feature. In other words this is a miniature UE Boom waiting to be tossed around and played with. The UE Roll borrows a lot from its larger and more expensive brother – the UE Boom, but the question is how does it stack up in the real world? More importantly, is the UE Roll an improved UE Mini Boom successor at $100? Let's find out!

Ultimate Ears UE Megaboom Review

Portable speakers let us enjoy our music wirelessly at home and on the go. And with the smaller, more powerful and longer lasting models offered recently, it's no wonder everyone wants one. Back when Ultimate Ears introduced the UE Boom more than a year ago – the cylindrically-shaped $200 speaker most known for its durable svelte design and immersive 360-degree sound, the company really impressed us with its advanced portable speaker design. So much so that it was worthy of our Editors' Choice Award. The only thing that held us back from giving the UE Boom the highest score possible was that it didn't quite have enough bass under the hood. Despite that, the UE Boom was considered as one of the best portable speakers at $200. But since then many companies like JBL released drastically improved offerings that surpassed the UE Boom's once firm reign over the portable speaker market.

Fast forward to present day, Ultimate Ears used its legendary portable speaker design chops to craft the UE Megaboom, the step-up speaker for people who loved the UE Boom but wished it offered more oomph in the bass department. Its a strikingly familiar looking portable sound producing gadget that promises to deliver ridiculously amazing 360-degree worth of sound with deep bass and magical unicorns thrown into the mix. Ultimate Ears UE MINI BOOM Review

Ultimate Ears is expanding its portable wireless speaker lineup which up until today was only made up from a single offering, the incredible UE Boom speaker. A year ago Logitech introduced the UE Mobile Boombox under a joined Logitech UE brand which still exists today, however, Ultimate Ears is now coming out with its own near-identical version dubbed the UE Mini Boom. The $100 mini wireless Bluetooth speaker boasts a number of enhancements over its UE Mobile Boombox predecessor - namely wireless dual-speaker mode funtionality we've seen first introduced with the UE Boom, but carries with it the same familiar svelte rubberized design. What makes the UE Mini Boom a better speaker than its predecessor, or more importantly, should you invest in two for the price of a single UE Boom speaker in order to create a more affordable wireless dual speaker setup? 5.1 speaker systems? Who needs them. The only speakers being expeditiously released lately are portable Bluetooth speakers you can take along with you everywhere you go. Ultimate Ears, now a Logitech brand, are one of the many names fighting to sell you their own take on these self-powered speaker modules. You're in for quite a treat if you're shopping around for that awesome package of portable audio goodness because Ultimate Ears has recently come out with the UE Boom, a powerful wireless Bluetooth speaker capable of pushing out loud 360-degree sound to liven up your boring party wherever it may be.

Marketed as a versatile "life-resistant" wireless portable speaker with speakerphone features and oversized on-board volume controls, the UE Boom also carries an origianl design we think might land it a wireless speaker modeling contract. We said the day will come, and that day is today. JBL had a great run with the outstanding Flip portable wireless speaker, and now there's a new speaker on the block that we are thrilled to dive into. Head past the break for the full review!

Logitech UE 9000 Headphones Review

Here to finally complete our review coverage of Logitech's incredibly solid headphone lineup are the UE 9000 headphones. Saying that we were impressed by Logitech's reasonably priced UE 4000 and UE 6000, the result of two experienced brands that have merged into one well oiled audio machine, is an understatement. The UE 9000 are Logitech's top of the range over-ear headphones loaded to the brim with all kinds of tech like active noise-cancellation, wireless Bluetooth connectivity, headset features and plenty of phat sound to bring them wubs to life. Logitech UE Mobile Boombox Review

There's a new portable wireless speaker in the neighborhood. Until the next best thing soon follows that is. Back when Logitech released its Mini Boombox and then quickly dusting it under the carpet, the small and glossy speaker had its fair share of issues on all fronts. Back from the dead and sporting a much needed redesign from the inside out, meet Logitech UE's new Turbo Bass button-less Mobile Boombox. It's now the smallest speaker ever to be called a boombox and you bet it's portable. That'll help ease the pain busting that small boombox over your head. You can do it one handed it's so small.

The Mobile Boombox features dual audio drivers amongst other things, a whopping 10-hours of battery life and it sounds as good as it looks for the $100 asking price. Logitech UE 4000 Headphones Review

Not that long, Logitech has introduced a new joint line of headphones and portable speakers with Ultimate Ears under the new Logitech UE brand name. Apparently the new brand boasts some extraordinary technology, research and development to back up its new line of audio gear. While Logitech joined forces with Ultimate Ears a few years ago, the brand is most known for creating some of the best custom made in-ear monitors for professional musicians. So it's safe to say that we're excited to see what this new joint venture brings forth.

The Logitech UE 4000 headphones are one of the three entry level consumer headphones that Logitech UE recently released out into the wild.
