monCarbone HoverCoat Carbon Fiber Case for iPad

Carbon fiber fans rejoice! Today l'll be reviewing monCarbone's HoverCoat glossy and matte finished carbon fiber iPad cases. The HoverCoat is made out of real carbon fiber that provides a very unique and great looking sharp look to your iPad without compromising weight or bulk. The HoverCoat is extremely lightweight and slim. It easily snaps to the back of your iPad, but I found that if you use a back skin of any kind, the HoverCoat will not be sitted on very well and will easily pull back a bit if you place your fingers right on the edge of the case. I could barely tell I had a case on my iPad while using the HoverCoat, it's so thin that I felt like I was holding my iPad without a case on. The HoverCoat does flex and it isn't super hard. Corners are cut very precise and are rounded so there are not sharp corners or edges, which is great. I should note that the HoverCoat does not cover or provide any protection to the iPad's metal bezel. All the buttons and ports are easily accessible and uncovered. There are no logos on the outside only on the inside of the case which I was very happy about.

Both the matte and glossy HoverCoat finishes look beautiful, but if you really want to show off the carbon fiber pattern, the glossy does a much better job at showing the weave better than the matte finished HoverCoat. With that said, the glossy finish scratched very easily by just placing it on a table. For this kind of price I think there should be an anti-scratch coating added to the glossy finish. The matte finish does have an anti-scratch finish that works very well. The key differences between both matte and glossy HoverCoat finishes is that the glossy attracts fingerprints, it scratches more easily and it shows off the carbon fiber weave much better. The matte finished HoverCoat has a more grippy and rough texture to it. It's a much more stealthy looking iPad cover and will appeal to different kind of users. On the back you will notice a line of perforations  at the top, this is meant for the 3G iPad model so it will not interfere with the reception. I have not noticed any signal issues on my WiFi iPad at all.

The HoverCoat looks stunning under sunlight. You can clearly see the 3D carbon fiber weave in good lighting. I really think that monCarbone did a good job on the design of the HoverCoat case for the iPad, but I would have liked to see an anti-scratch coating for the glossy model at this price. And as we all know, real carbon fiber doesn't come cheap. Price $89.99.

JAYS a-JAYS Three In-Ear Earphones

Iv'e reviewed and listened to many high quality earphones and headphones in the past to be able to notice a good sounding pair. I did not think that something so small can produce such an amazing sound, until I got my hands on the a-JAYS Three by JAYS. The a-JAYS Three pack such an incredible sound, all in an ultra compact design. Right out of the box these sounded just amazing. I really got blown away to how close they come compared to a pair of full fledged over-ear headphones. JAYS really do an amazing job with every single product they make so far. The a-JAYS Three are absolutely stunningly crystal clear but also, they have incredible punchy bass. The 8.6mm TCD neodymium driver produces such high quality bass that makes you feel your music. The sound is in no way distorted or muddy on any kind of music genre. The a-JAYS Three have a very rich warm sound that most people like including myself. They are very well balanced throughout the sound spectrum.

The design and built quality is just as good as how they sound. The a-JAYS Three have a very nice soft touch coating surrounding the hosing with a glossy plastic cap. The slim profile makes for a very comfortable listening for long periods of time. Once in your ear, the a-JAYS Three are very unnoticeable so if you like to lay down while listening to your music, it won't be a problem for you. I really love the flat tangle-free cord which is the best flat quality cord Iv'e came across. The only thing I can say that did not impress me was the audio jack's design, which looks like a cheap piece of rubber without any design really. It will fit most devices due to it's slim profile. The a-JAYS Three come with a pretty useless hard storage case that is very slim. I had a hard time placing and closing this case with the a-JAYS Three neatly tucked inside.

Depending on which silicone tip you choose to fit your ears, I was able to get a decent amount of sound isolation from outside noises. The a-JAYS Three are so lightweight that I would forget I even have them in my ear, which made me focus much more on my music than having to worry about them falling out and discomfort. I would highly recommend the a-JAYS Three for any music genre. The price, sound and build quality makes these a perfect pair of in-ears. Price $60.

Sound ID 510 Bluetooth Headset Review

The Sound ID 510 Bluetooth headset looks amazingly sleek, slim and most importantly, it's ultra comfortable. Not only does the 510 fir perfectly in your ear, it also sounds very good on both ends of the call. The 510 has RealComfort EarLoops which I noticed right away how comfortable they are compared to all the other headsets I've come across. These uniquely designed ear loops or ear tips, are able to turn a bit to the right or left to perfectly fit your right or left ear. Once I put on the 510 I instantly thought that there is no way that it can come off my ear without me wanting it to, which is a problem with a lot of Bluetooth headsets out there. Another very nice feature the 510 has is touch sensitive volume control, which is simply the entire outer surface. This works very well by simply sliding your finger up or down to control the volume right on the headset. More after the jump!

Case-mate Gelli Case for iPhone 4

If you love how slim your iPhone 4 is and want to keep it that way but still need protection, then you might want to look at Case mate's Gelli case. The Gelli case is a TPU case that is so slim, you won't even know you have it on. Unlike other TPU case out there, the Gelli is much more flexible and very easy to put on, hence the name Gelli. The Gelli features vibrant, semi-transparant colors and patterns which show off the back of your iPhone 4's Apple logo. Because of how slim and thin the Gelli case is, it won't be a good drop protector, however it will do great protecting your iPhone against scratches and light bumps. The cutouts on the Gelli case are perfect with easy to press buttons. There is a nice lay out the table front lip so that you don't need to worry about your screen to much.

The Gelli case overall is a simple, slimline case for the iPhone 4. It's a great case for those who seek such a case for their iPhone. The Gelli doesn't feel like it's made from a high quality material like the iSkin Solo, however for the price it isn't bad at all. The Gelli comes with one screen protectors, a cleaning cloth and an application card. You can get the Gelli case in six colors and patterns. Price $19.99.

Luxa2 H4 iPad Holder

The H4 by Luxa2 is the most amazing stand for the iPad I have ever seen. It's so unique and usable it's just the perfect iPad stand, better yet it's an iPad holder. The H4 is much more than just an iPad stand, it actually presents your iPad to you at the most comfortable angles possible. The H4 looks amazing with it's aluminum construction and Apple-like design. If you are a Mac user, the H4 will fit perfectly with your setup allowing you to display your iPad almost like it's an actual iMac. All of this is great new, but does the H4 really offer you flexibility without having to remove a case you have on your iPad? Yes! Most of us ipad users have a case installed and won't want to take it of just so we can use an accessory, and the H4 really does a great job being compatible with most cases on the market. The H4 has six rubber pegs that grip and hold your iPad with or without a case on by clamping both sides of the H4's head mount together to from a secure tight fit to hold your iPad in place. Also, the H4 has a black middle rubber surface which offers your naked iPad even more grip and scratch protection.

The bottom base is very wide so it can stay stable while you use your iPad without having to worry about it tipping over. The bottom also has a rubber surface that provides grip without having the aluminum getting in contact with your desk. The H4 has a rotating head which holds your iPad and can be adjusted easily to a horizontal or vertical angle. There are no locks or screws that you need to mess with, you just position your iPad where you want it and the H4 will stay in place without moving an inch. You can also flip your iPad upwards and downwards (see video above). The H4 is actually lightweight, but due to it's large base, it stays very stable allowing you to fully interact with your iPad's touch screen.

Not only can you use the H4 with your iPad, but if you've got a kindle DX, it too will be compatible with the H4. Luxa2 really did a great job with it's H4 and I would highly recommend it if you're looking for such a thing for your device. Price $59.99.

Exogear Exolife Slim Battery Case for iPhone 4

Exogear's Exolife is probably the slimmest battery case for the iPhone 4 on the market, it's sleek, slim, lightweight and it's just the case that you're looking for, or is it? While the Exolife has a very thin profile for a battery case, it does not live up to it's main purpose which is doubling your iPhone 4's battery life. After many tests of charging and discharging the Exolife, I could only get it to charge my iPhone 4 to about 70%, and that's without even using my iPhone while it's charging! Not good enough Exogear. I was expecting to get at least a full charge out of the Exolife after running the battery for more than five times however I only managed to get about 70%. If you want to keep using your iPhone 4 while your Exolife charges it, and believe me you will, then you will be lucky to even get a 50% charge while using your iPhone 4.

The Exolife uses a semi-translucent plastic bumper that you install on your iPhone 4 to secure it to the Exolife Battery. This bumper case has deep cutouts for the volume, silent and power buttons making them very hard to reach with your fingers. To get to those buttons you really got to fit your nails thru the cutout of the bumper and that is a bad design flaw. If you have any side skins on your metal band, you will need to take them off in order to use the Exolife with it's bumper case. The Exolife does not offer much protection to your iPhone 4 except for the back and sides. There is 0 lay on the table design with this case, so your whole front glass screen isn't protected at all. While the Exolife was charging my iPhone 4, it's bottom part near the battery light indicator got noticeably warm throughout the whole time it was charging. Something to be aware of if you are sensitive.

On the back of the Exolife you will find a blue battery indicator light that will tell you the remaining battery charge on the Exolife by pressing a button on the bottom side, which also powers on and off the Exolife's battery. Charging the Exolife is very easy and is done by a USB cable. You can sync and charge both your iPhone 4 and your Exolife's battery via the supplied USB cable, though you will charge your Exolife much faster without your iPhone 4 attached to it. The Exolife does make your iPhone 4 a bit longer due to the on board battery and how slim it is. I actually think that even with the Exolife Battery Case, holding it was comfortable due to it's slim profile and rounder back. The Exolife comes in both a glossy black or white finishes with only a USB cable. I cannot recommend the Exolife at it's current price tag and with a false battery advertisement. Price $89.95.
