Samsung Giveing Away Free Galaxy S to Unhappy iPhone 4 Customers

For, what seems to be the best PR move in history, Samsung UK has been pleasing frustrated iPhone customers by giving away a free Galaxy S to owners of the iPhone 4 who have had reception issues. How are they doing this? Well, through their twitter account of course. You do not need to give them anything, execpt for your address, and then they will send you out a free Galaxy S phone!

Official Statment from Samsung:

Recently there has been a real increase in online activity from consumers dissatisfied with some of our competitors' products. We decided to contact a cross section of individuals to offer them a free Samsung Galaxy S as a replacement, as we're confident that once people have the phone in their hands, they'll see how impressive it is for themselves.

It seems that Samsung have already given out quite a few of these Galaxy S devices. Sure beats a free bumper case.

Samsung's iPad Killer?

Today, Samsung announced that they are going to be making an Android tablet to rival the iPad's tablet crown. It is going to be called the Samsung Galaxy and is going to be similar to the Samsung Galaxy S phone.

So what do we know about the Samsung Galaxy. Well it will run Android with TouchWiz UI, it has 3G capabilities, it has a front facing camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, it could make calls because of the Phone icon, and has a 7" TFT display.

Now Engadget have suggested that this could change to an AMOLED display and that it could have access to Samsung's App Store as Google doesn't currently allow the Android Marketplace to be used on Android tablets.

Perhaps, the most important of all the features on the tablet is that it will use essentially the same processor as in the upcoming iPhone 4/HD and iPad, the A4 chip or Hummingbird S5PC110.

Now the tablet haters out there might say that this is just a big Samsung Galaxy S but only time will tell if it is going to be a success like the iPad.
