If you're one looking to ruin everything Apple worked hard for in designing the iPhone 5 using breakthrough aluminum unibody and glass construction, then this is the type of hot 90s mod you won't want to pass up. iPhone5Mod is selling the most thorough translucent mod kit every made for the iPhone. The DIY mod transforms the entire rear body assembly including the sides, top and bottom portions of the iPhone 5 as well as all the small details and parts like the volume/power buttons, micro-SIM card tray and speaker grille into a one-of-a-kind, translucent and dangerously flashy iPhone 5.

Much like replacing the rear glass panel mods that everyone by now should be familiar with, K.O Gadget's $43 Luminescent Logo Mod Kit will let you replace your iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S' original black or white rear panel with an identical modded one that has a transparent Apple logo and a special thin light panel which will illuminate your Apple logo as if it were a MacBook Pro. Unlike the iPach mod that required you to send in your iPhone, the Luminescent Logo Mod Kit is easy enough for a DIY with the help of a detailed instructional video. The light panel which serves as the Apple logo backlight plugs into the iPhone's screen to get its power and is said to not impact battery life nor add any bulk.

iPhone 4 Now Has An Illuminated Apple Logo Thanks To iPatch

Here's something great to start the day off with. I bet by only looking the iPhone 4 above has put a big grin on your face like it did to me. Undoubtedly this is the most amazing looking iPhone 4 I've ever seen and it's as real as it can get. Who knew a glowing Apple logo would look so good on anything else other than Apple's MacBooks? The iPatch is a custom mod that lets you illuminate the back of the iPhone 4's Apple logo in a bright iconic white light of epicness.

How? It works much like how the MacBook lights up its rear facing Apple logo while the screen is turned on, the rear Apple logo on the iPhone 4 will remain evenly lit and will also illuminate when receiving a text message or when your alarm sounds off even when your screen is turned off. Battery life is said to remain unaffected by this mod since the source for the illumination is actually the front screen of the iPhone 4. iPatch hasn't yet made the mod available to the public quite yet and isn't planning on revealing us its deepest secretes on how exactly the mod takes place.

Smart Cover Mod For iPad

Still stuck with the original iPad but you just wished you could use that Smart Cover? A simple mod that requires a little bit of gluing a few magnets to the side of your iPad will make your wish come true. The downsides to this are that your iPad will not automatically lock and unlock by the Smart Cover since only the iPad 2 had built-in magnets that act as a sensor.

Change Your iPhone 4's Glass Back With Metal

Changing the back glass cover of your iPhone 4 isn't as hard as you would think, in fact it's as easy as putting on an Apple Bumper case. All you need to do in order to replace the back glass housing of your iPhone 4 is to simply remove the two little screws located in between the speaker and mic, and then you just slide the back cover upwards a bit and your done. These metal back covers are extremely cheap at $13 and would be a great idea to have instead of having to worry about glass shattering.
