Logi Unveils Squarish Drop Protective Blok iPad Cases

Logi Unveils Squarish Drop Protective Blok iPad Cases

Logitech has unveiled a series of new cases designed for the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini under its new brand label Logi. The new Blok series of iPad cases consist of a rigid square-shaped protective case with flexible polymer-made corners designed to protect the iPad from drops of up to six feet in height. These corners were intentionally designed as reinforced areas providing extra protection where it's needed most by forming an air-cushioned barrier that effectively absorbs impacts. Logi's $40 Blok Shell is a non-bulky, minimalist protective case for the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini, while the Blok Case for the iPad Air 2 adds a protective durable folio cover to the back of the Shell case that folds into a stand offering various degrees of viewing angles for $70.

JBL Xtreme, Flip 3 Portable Wireless Speakers Revealed

JBL Xtreme, Flip 3 Portable Wireless Speakers Revealed

JBL's Xtreme and Flip 3 portable wireless speakers were both leaked ahead of their official release by a European consumer electronics retailer. The company's Xtreme model looks to be the most rugged of them all featuring a resilient nylon fabric mesh similar to the UE Megaboom, which is described to be durst, mud and water-resistant. The Xtreme borrows some key features from JBL's Charge 2+ while enhancing them even further such as dual USB ports for charging external devices, a long-lasting 12 hour battery life, on-board speakerphone functionality with an echo & noise-canceling microphone – as well as two large side firing bass radiators that accompany what looks like four front-firing speaker drivers for a total of six drivers. That's two more drivers than what is currently found on the Charge 2+, so hopefully we should be able to hear the difference in sound quality.

JBL Intros Splashproof Charge 2+ Portable Speaker

JBL Intros Splashproof Charge 2+ Portable Speaker

JBL has finally listened to our complaints about its Charge 2 portable Bluetooth speaker and its lack of outdoor durability, or at least we're going to pretend they did. And did so with the introduction of the third generation Charge model called the Charge 2 Plus, or Charge 2+ as JBL calls it. The new and improved Charge 2+ retains the same Charge 2 aesthetics, still has the same internal speaker hardware and long-lasting 12-hour battery prowess with built-in USB gadget charging capability as its "predecessor", but it now features a water-resistant design with a new redesigned orange JBL logo on the front.

Apple Watch Sport Drop Tested, Ion-X Glass Fails Swift Durability Torture

Apple Watch Sport Drop Tested, Ion-X Glass Fails Swift Durability Torture

If you had any doubts about the Sport version of the Apple Watch, which features Apple's molecular strengthened Ion-X glass said to be scratch and impact-resistant, your worst fear of potential glass shattering is about to become real. The only time when you can drop your Apple Watch is when you're fumbling around trying to get the strap to securely fasten around your wrist, which can of course mean that the chances of it slipping right off during that time are high.

To find out what will happen to the glass display of a 42mm Apple Watch Sport, YouTube channel TechRax decided to put one through a reasonable drop test from the same height you yourself would most likely be putting around your wrist. After the first drop of it landing on its composite-made back unscathed, the Apple Watch Sport failed miserably when it was dropped facing down, ending with a totally shattered glass display. Though it seemed the watch did remain functional after having suffered a glass shattering impact.
