No Tethering From iPhone to iPad

AT&T is sure making enemies this week. Firstly with it changing their smartphone data plans, but now they are saying that you cannot tether the iPhone to the iPad. Even though that iPhone OS 4.0 will allow iPhone to laptop tethering, AT&T are saying no to iPhone to iPad tethering. An AT&T spokesperson said that this is because "it won’t be possible to tether the iPhone to the iPad to share Internet access because the iPad's Bluetooth profile for tethering is not enabled."

So if you want mobile internet on your iPad, you will have to splash the cash for the iPad 3G. Lets just hope that these insane new ideas from AT&T are because of new carriers coming to the iPhone.

Apple Pushing HTML5 Even More

We all know Apple really loves HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript calling them the future of modern web browsing. Apple just went live with an HTML5 showcase page just to show how well it works with the latest version of Safari web browser, new Macs and new Apple mobile devices including the iPhone and iPad. Apple is showing off that there is no need for Adobe's Flash web plug-in to view videos, galleries, animations, transitions, listening to audio and more. Apple is also encouraging developers to start using HTML5 and offers them help on doing so. To check out these functions yourselves, click the source link below.

Verizon Testing iPads?

According to the Boy Genius Report's "Well Placed Source," Verizon is currently testing the iPad on their network. They allegedly have been told that they are testing a CDMA version of Apple's newest device, however they haven't been able to confirm it. Well it seems that our prayers have been answered, and if this is true we might see a Verizon iPhone some time in the furture.

Apple Kills Lala

On May 31st, Apple shut down the servers for the music streaming site Lala, which Apple bought about 5 months ago. Now if you use Lala, you must be wondering what will happen to all the money you have spent on the service. Well, you will get an iTunes Store credit code sent to you by e-mail and Apple says that it will round refunds under $10 up to the nearest $1 and refunds of more than $10 to the nearest $5.

However the question on everybody's lips is: What will replace Lala?

Well, Apple didn't just spent $80 million just to shut it down. So many people are speculating if Apple is going to release a streaming service of it's own? The Wall Street Journal was told by “people familiar with the matter” that Apple will launch its own version of Lala’s music streaming service. If the WSJ’s sources are correct, you’ll be able to upload your iTunes library to Apple’s servers so you can listen to them on other computers or a devices like an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, but as long as you have Internet access.

But when will this come? Many are saying that it will be announced at WWDC in light of it being shut down a week before the keynote. So I guess we will all have to wait until June 7th to find out.
