Here we go, the 3rd party iPad 2 cases are starting to roll out and employ Apple's Smart Cover functionalities. Grove are one of the first to come out with a bamboo case for the iPad 2 that acts similarly like a Smart Cover and features a natural vegetable tanned magnetic leather cover which double as a stand for typing and viewing movies. The Grove iPad 2 case is now available to pre-order at $79, with more options to come like laser engraved designs on the leather cover. Orders will only start to ship out in 3-6 weeks so you might want to grab one of those Smart Covers in the meantime.
At last, a clear back mod for the iPhone 4. It was a matter of time until Chinese manufacturers start producing some clear back covers for the iPhone 4 after it became popular to swap the iPhone 4's black back glass cover with a white glass back cover since it was so easy to do. This clear glass mod can be done for the front and back of the iPhone 4. We will try to find out where you can purchase one of these clear glass back covers.
If changing the back of your iPhone 4 to a different glass color cover was not enough, you might be interested in transforming it into metal or in this case brushed aluminum. The process is very easy and should take you no longer than a minute. All you need to do in order to replace the back glass housing of your iPhone 4 is to simply remove the two little screws located in between the speaker and mic, and then you just slide the back cover upwards a bit and your done.
