MonkeyOh Charges Your iPhone The Way A Monkey Would

There have been numerous products with a similar application, yet none of them really addressed the issue of concealing and neatly wrapping a long charging cable like the one you get with the iPhone 5, but Kickstarter product named MonkeyOh does exactly that. It's a charging dock designed as a cute hugging monkey that plugs directly into an electrical wall socket and securely grabs onto a device such as the iPhone 5 in either portrait or landscape orientations whilst it eliminates any cord clutter.

Here’s how this clever dock works…Simply slide your Apple power adapter into MonkeyOh’s “backpack” slot, plug the USB end of the power cord into the monkey’s mouth and wrap the cord around the backpack. The clever design instantly organizes your space by getting rid of tangled cords. Finally, slide your smartphone into the flexible yet durable monkey arms for comfortable, hands-free multi-media viewing. The MonkeyOh can accommodate the smartphone in portrait or landscape orientation.

By utilizing your Apple branded USB power adapter, the MonkeyOh can be offered at a reduced cost of $15 - $17. Felix, the company behind the MonkeyOh, claims that it'll also work with Samsung's Galaxy S3 and S4 devices including other similar smartphones with or without a protective case. Away from a power outlet, the MonkeyOh also doubles as a viewing stand.

The aluminum is coated for military durability using a type 3 hard-anodized matte military-spec finish (T3). Element Case's Sector 5 Black Ops Elite is available in black and desert tan colors with your choice of a Hogue G10 back plate for a whopping $220.

iPlifier Solves Your iPhone 5 Speaker Hand Cupping Problem

Stop cupping your hand beneath your iPhone's puny, oddly positioned speaker and let the iPlifier do the work for you. Currently a low-cost Kickstarter product, the iPlifier is a little plastic adapter that connects into the Lightning port of the iPhone 5 to scoop up the audio coming from the small speaker in order to direct the sound towards you. And we all know that by doing so, the sound significantly improves. The low-profile design allows the iPlifier to fit in with most protective cases which have a wide bottom opening. It's significantly less bulkier solution to using cases such as the AmpJacket. You can even attach it to your keychain using the included quick-connect clasp. It's a small accessory that literally fixes a big problem that hopefully Apple will address in the future. Pledging $5 will net you one iPlifier in the color of your choice.

Nokia Purity Pro Wireless Stereo Headset By Monster, You'll Want A Pair

Nokia's well designed Purity HD headset just got a well deserved upgrade from cheeky to Pro. Nokia's latest attempt at making seriously good headphones with Monster is the result of the new Purity Pro Wireless Stereo Headset designed to fit Nokia's bold line of beautiful Lumia handsets. The difference in the Pro moniker is obviously a new wireless Bluetooth connectivity over the wired Purity HD model, but that's not all. The Purity Pro integrates NFC for quick tap to pair and features an over-ear design, active noise-cancellation with on-board music playback and call control buttons, a foldable construction for convenient carry and a standard 3.5mm detachable audio cable for when your battery runs.

You'll also find other small and helpful features like an automatic power-on feature when unfolding the headphones, and sensors that turn on the active noise-cancellation only when you wear the Purity Pro which will help conserve battery.

We understand that people want the best possible audio experience from a headset. When listening to music with the Nokia Purity Pro Wireless Stereo Headset by Monster, the ambient noise that surrounds most people in everyday life is cancelled out by the ANC. What you hear is just the music and nothing else – the way it should be. ANC only activates when your wearing the Purity Pro, thanks to one of the many sensors built into the headset. And in fact it activates on the moment you put the headset on. Not only is this great use of technology, but it also saves battery life, too – as does the ‘unfold to power on’ function.

And while the svelte glossy polycarbonate styling remained the same for the most part, the Purity Pro headphones have larger over-ear cups which aid in blocking out external noise and should be more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. Nokia says the color isn't a painted on finish but rather ingrained into the polycarbonate material so that scuffs and scratches will be less visible. Nokia's wireless pro cans are now available for a not so affordable $350 bucks compared to the $200 Purity HD - in black, red, yellow and white flavors. No cyan or magenta as a part of the new color scheme sadly.

Gripcase Makes It Safer For Kids To Use iPads

We know what you're thinking, what in the world is that?! It's a Gripcase case designed to protect the iPad 2, 3 and 4 with an over-protective case within a case concept that is not only extremely effective in the sense of offering 360 degree drop-protection, but also provides users with additional grip thru a 4-sided handle periphery like no other case we've seen before. Dropping your iPad in this should never sink your heart. And there's even an iPad mini version too.

Yes it isn't pretty or anywhere near being minimalist, but it definitely does look to be effective at what it was meant for which is to provide maximum handling and protection for virtually any application (except for bad weather and something called water) no matter the person's age that is grabbing on. The Gripcase's exterior grip handle, or railing actually extends above the front of the device and acts like an additional raised bezel in order to protect the iPad's most crucial aspect, the touchscreen, in a worst case scenario.

The Gripcase's lightweight, and durable EVA foam body can absorb impacts and shock very well, and its unique bumper design helps in deflecting energy upon impact by bending as a crumple zone. Gripcase is obviously targeting parents with kids and special needs applications with its heavy-duty iPad cases which the company claims are kid-friendly, but I think it's safe to say that they're also kid-proof too. The back of the Gripcase is cut to reveal parts of the iPad's rear aluminum end, which is pretty cool looking yet under the cover of tough protection. A Gripcase for a full sized iPad will run you $40, while an iPad mini version costs a bit less at $35. Both come in multiple colors and are available now.
