SXONE iPhone 5 Case Made Out Of Stone

iPhone cases come in a wide variety of materials including hard plastics, flexible silicone rubbers and thermoplastics, aluminum, wood and leather. But one abundant material has been left out from this group until today. A an upcoming British case manufacturer by the name of SX-One is looking to revolutionize the case industry with the SXONE - the world's first iPhone 5 case made out of stone. It's literally a case that's as hard as a rock, yet machined to Incase Slider-like case specifications to be used as a minimalist protective case with very unique marble texture and patterns that'll disguise your iPhone as being a part of your stone countertop. Known for adapting to cool temperatures, the 'stoneafide' SXONE case offers a unique earthy feeling Fred Flintstone would have approved of.

And although the SXONE stone case is made from an artificial blend of stone that's easier to machine into the necessary shape and curves of an iPhone case, the end result is a stone case that's lighter than natural stone yet retains its natural properties. SX-ONE does warn its SXONE stone cases are prone to damage if dropped from a high altitude of undefined height. It's highly likely for stone to chip and even crack when faced with impact, leading us to believe that stone and glass-made protective iPhone cases aren't going to be anything more than a short-lived niche. The SXONE stone case is available to be pre-ordered on Kickstarter in three different stone colors for the iPhone 4/S and iPhone 5 for $49 and $52 (estimated), respectively.

Wally. A Reimagined iPhone Wallet.

Don’t like carrying so much in your pockets when you go out? Look to the Wally iPhone wallet to help you out. Most iPhone cases on the market that dual function as a wallet are bulky and limit access to your phone. Wally is a slim, stick-on leather pocket that fits on the back of your iPhone via micro suction instead of glue or magnets. It uses a discreet pull-tab to accommodate 3 cards and is handcrafted with premium Italian leather in the USA. The Wally comes in black and brown and works for the iPhone 4/4S and iPhone 5. Funding is already at more than double the original goal and starts at $40 on Kickstarter.

Clean Your iPhone 4S Screen With Swipe

We take our smartphones wherever we go and take them out whenever we want. Everything is literally at our fingertips, our dirty and oily fingertips at that. Everytime I have something awesome to show my friends or just want to enjoy my Retina display to the fullest, my shirt is my go-to cleaning cloth. It has become so common for us to use our shirts to wipe our iPhone screens that Swipe, an innovative approach to this problem, was created.

Created out of aircraft aluminum, Swipe is a case that will last. Integrated directly onto the case is a Micro-Fiber covered swiper that will easily glide up and down your screen, taking all the smudges along with it, leaving your iPhone feeling as it did when it just came out of the box. Cleaning your iPhone screen has never been so effortless.

Not only does Swipe clean your screen, it also features a tripod mount that will attach to your dashboard, your bike, or anything with a compatible mount. On top of that, as cellular signals tend to decrease with metallic cases such as the Swipe, they have touted optimal signal strength using their "Wide Open Hybrid Design." Swipe just has it all.

Swipe's Kickstarter campaign is still in its early stages with 29 days to go. Head on over to their page and support this great idea to permanently get rid of your dirty iPhone screen. You can preorder one with a $79 pledge or higher if the campaign becomes successful.

Otterbox Armor Series, Toughest Waterproof iPhone 4S Case

Otterbox has revealed its latest and first ever waterpoof iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 case called the Armor Series case. Otterbox claims the Armor Series case is its toughest case ever built. The Armor Series is completely waterproof, and made from a thermoplastic shell and shock absorbing materials secured by a medical-grade stainless steel latch much like LifeProof's plastic closure latch, that will keep your iPhone protected against water, dust, drops and the unsuspecting threat of being crushed. By the looks of it, it's very bulky indeed. But Otterbox claims all the above is tested to be proof and not simply resistant. Otterbox's Armor Series waterproof iPhone case will be available on June 24.

Transform Any iPhone, iPad Case Into A Waterproof Case

Protecting your iPhone and iPad from one of the most dangerous elements of all without the bulk is now a reality. And what is you could waterproof virtually any protective case you have in the process? Gooma's Case Marine is less of a case and more of a clear, ultra-thin waterproof touch-thru membrane cover that's made out of polyurethane and acrylic which can stretch to form fit the iPhone and iPad and is then sealed from the back using a watertight seal strip. The Case Marine's durable stretchy membrane is waterproof rated for up to 10m (32.8 feet), and will also protect against scratches and dust. It's so thin at 0.25mm that you can still use a protective case with your iDevice

Gooma's Case Marine is without a doubt the thinnest waterproof case out there that lets you enjoy your iPhone and iPad as if they were unprotected. The downside? You won't be able to use any of the device ports, but you could still be able to make phone calls. The Case Marine for the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 comes with 10 waterproof seal strips and 2 clear membrane covers for $71. Gooma plans to release the iPad version soon.
