Yamaha Pumps Out PDX-11 Rugged Portable Speaker

Yahama is bringing back and redefining the boombox with its new PDX-11 portable speaker for iPhone and iPod. Designed to have an octagon shaped body for ruggedness and stability, the PDX-11 features a top charging dock with volume-only controls and a metal carrying handle. Powering the PDX-11 is a two-way speaker system with a single four-inch cone woofer and a dedicated tweeter said to deliver strong bass response, clear highs and stunning mids. Yamaha's PDX-11 portable speaker can be powered using six AA batteries or by using an AC power adapter. It's available right now in four colors for $99.95.

The Tank iPhone 4S Case, One Mean Ugly Rugged Case (Video)

Case-Mate's latest tough case might be one of the most ugliest cases you've come across, but at least it's one of the most toughest iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 cases Case-Mate has ever made that meets and exceeds military specs. It's called the Tank, seems only fitting for such a case. Yes but what's different about this one that Griffin's Survivor case doesn't have? The Tank case was designed to have a unique retractable screen that shields and fully protects the iPhone's glass screen against impacts, cracking and condensation. The Tank's exterior is made up from a hard, shatter-resistant polycarbonate shell coated with a rubber soft-touch grippy coating and a soft silicone core for more than just drop protection.

Adata's latest SH14 USB 3.0 external hard drive is one of the most chic styled ruggedized hard drives around. Stylish yet tough is right. Ballistic has announced its expending its line of Ballistic Hard Core and Ballistic Shell Gel rugged cases to offer more of that tough protection goodness to even more popular smartphones. In the chosen lineup, included are the HTC Thunderbolt and HTC Droid Incredible 2, Samsung Infuse 4G, Motorola Atrix and last but not least, the BlackBerry Bold 2. Ballistic's Ballistic HC Series case offering 5-layers of advanced protection and the Ballistic SG Series case offering a bit less at just 3-layers of tough protection, both meet Military Specifications and will be available for the above smartphones.
