With the addition of AirPlay for wireless streaming content from your Apple devices and how the Apple TV now costs $99 have pushed up the sales of the Apple TV. One million sold in 3 months. Apple Mac Store Opens it's Doors on January 6th

Apple has announced that it's Mac app store will be available for download on January 6th next year. This is Apple's desktop version of the already incredibly popular iPhone and iPad app stores. But everyone still running 10.5 needs to upgrade to 10.6 to take advantage of the Mac App store as it only runs on Snow Leopard. Apple is planning on launching it around the world in 90 countries and will include free and paid apps of a wide range of apps for Apple's computer OS from developers all around the world. However Apple is not taking submissions of apps that are trials, demos, or betas, you will have to go to the developer's website to get these, but if you are a developer, I would suggest getting yours in there to get better exposure as it will probably be as big of a hit with developers and consumers alike as the iPhone and iPad app store.

Read the press release below.

Apple's Black Friday Sale

Apple will hold a one-day sale in their retail stores as well as on their online store on Black Friday, November 26. Last year, Apple offered a maximum discount of $100 on select Macs, something tells me this year will be the same. Apple's Black Friday sales are nothing really special since you can always get the same discounted price if not more on big online retailers such as Amazon. Check back at 8am this Friday to see what Apple has in store for you.

iOS 4.2 Released

After a long wait, apple has finallly released iOS 4.2 for the iPad. Around 5 months  since iOS4 was released for the iPhone. Anyway it is here now and it brings much needed multi-tasking, folders and AirPrint. The update also brings AirPlay, which lets you stream content on your iOS 4.2 device to an new Apple TV or an AirPlay compatible speaker and the Find My iPhone service is now free for all current generation hardware.

It's not all good news with this update though. As Apple has changed the switch above the volume rocker from a rotation lock to a mute button. I liked that button, please change it back Apple? Please?

You can update to iOS 4.2 through iTunes right now and see the devices available for upgrade below.

Find My iPhone is Now A Free Service, Find Your iOS Devices

MobileMe paid subscribers have been enjoying Apple's Find My iPhone services for a long time now, and today Apple has turned around and made this service completely free for iOS 4.2 users. The app allows you to locate a lost or stolen iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch 4G when you've got the app installed onto the device. You will need to create a free MobileMe account in order to setup the Find My iPhone app and begin locating your device/s. It's quick and easy so everyone should have this installed just in case.

You can remotely wipe all your data, set a passcode lock, display a custom message on the screen with a sound and even back your data. Thank you Apple, for looking after us. It's about time Apple renames their app though, don't you think?

Beatles Come to iTunes Store

Not exactly what I was thinking when Apple said yesterday that "Tomorrow is just another day. That you'll never forget." Nevertheless, this is a big thing to Apple's music store as since 2003, one of the world biggest bands was absent from the iTunes store but now you can get all 13 of The Beatles original studio albums from iTunes for a whopping $149

Even though I like The Beatles, I would prefer iTunes streaming...

Apple Teases iTunes Announcement for Tomorrow

Well what is Cupertino cooking up here? iTunes Music streaming from that North Carolina data centre? iOS 4.2 for iPad with AirPrint? The Beatles in iTunes? On Apple's homepage it says that "exciting announcement from iTunes" and that "Tomorrow is just another day. That you'll never forget." Who knows what Apple is doing but it looks like something awesome.

Check back on Apple.com at midnight in Tokyo, 3 PM in London, 10 AM in New York and 7 AM in California.
