Unique Quirky iPhone 5 Cases

Quirky partnered up with Fab to release a series of unique and slim iPhone 5 cases. The $35 Crossover case (above) particularly caught our eye. It's a clip-on, bumper-esque case made from two customizable stretchy silicone bands that overlay each other to create a credit card slot around the back while also adding reinforced corner protection. 

Quirky's $35 Luminum is an aluminum iPhone 5 case that's designed to Apple's iPhone 5 specs which instruct not to cover the top and bottom areas with metal. The Luminum is an ulta-slim, minimalist case that was designed to compliment the original look of the iPhone 5. It features a brushed aluminum mid section available in silver, copper and black - with plastic ends coated with a rubbery finish. Quirky's line of iPhone 5 cases are available to pre-order, but are expected to ship in 5-6 weeks.

Urban Armor Geared iPhone 5 Cases Kick Ass

Sometimes it's nice to see an old case brought to current iPhone iteration. This time it's Urban Armor Gear's sweet series of kickass looking tough cases, and you guess it, they're now available for the iPhone 5 too. We've had the chance to review the iPhone 4/S version of the UAG cases a while ago and we liked them so much that we've given them our Editors' Choice award for being awesome. The UAG cases for the iPhone 5 come in six different colors, feature the same cool looking military design and constructed with a reinforced hard shell exterior and soft shock absorbing interor lining; as well as oversized buttons. You can get one of these for $35 and expect yours to ship on October 5th.

Gresso Revolution Titanium iPhone 5 Bumper Case, High Rollers Only

Feast your eyes on the world's most expensive iPhone 5 case. If your pockets run deep, real deep, then this $3,000 iPhone 5 bumper case will surely catch your attention. The Revolution by the luxury fashion designer house, Gresso, is a the most expensive metal bumper case money can buy. The Revolution bumper is limited to 999 serialized and engraved pieces and features a unique magnetic, two-piece seamless secured locking installation that doesn't require any screwing (that is if you've got the money). The Revolution is milled from a solid piece of titanium for its strength, light weight and resistance to scratching.

The titanium is hand-finished with a beautiful slate colored and textured matte finish that undergoes a coating of PVD for additional durability. You want a logo? How about an engraved 18k gold logo inlay to top it all off. The Revolution is a fairly basic bumper, albeit offers premium material and a cool magnetic latch system. Gresso's premium bumper will go on sale on October 12th for a cool $3,000.

Musubo's Retro iPhone 5 Case Looks Like A Slick 50s Mic

iPhone 5 cases are beginning to hit the market by storm. You should expect all your favorite case designs from the manufactures you came to know and love to transfer over from the iPhone 4/S and simmer down to fit the iPhone 5. Musubo's unique range of iPhone 5 cases are starting to take a slimmer yet familiar shape. The Retro case we've had the chance to review is now ready to protect your iPhone 5 in retro 50s microphone style. It features a protective dual-layer design with a strong polycarbonate exterior shell and a soft silicone inner layer. Musubo has announced that its Retro case along with many other cases for the iPhone 5 will be available in October in multiple colors for $35.

Element Case Debuts Sector 5 Aluminum iPhone 5 Bumper Case

Element Case has secretly announced its latest addition to its iPhone metal case lineup called the Sector 5. This is Element Case's most extreme and over-engineered machined aluminum bumper case yet that features a radical new design. The Sector 5's CNC trussed design is extremely rigid yet lightweight. For the first time, the Sector 5 utilizes a unique multi-link fastening and modular system that claims to enable users to quickly install and remove the case off of their phone using just one screw, while the interesting modular construction will allow for future add-ons and upgrade accessories.

The Sector's anodized aluminum is finished off using Element Case's brilliant matte Flux coating in a gun metal grey color. The Sector case will not interfere with the iPhone's reception thanks to its plastic RF bridge insert. It'll include two black and grey Ultrasuede back plate skins and a transit kit. Element Case's new Sector 5 case is available for $140.

Grove Bamboo iPhone 5 Case Hits Pre-Order Status

The wait for the soon to be released iPhone 5 is nearly over, but case companies like Grove are at a head start. Grove has announced today of its new Grove Case for the iPhone 5 which is now available to pre-order for $59 with a full refund option in case you don't like the final case design. The Grove Case for the iPhone 5 is made from natural and sustainable materials featuring a two-piece sliding construction with a milled solid bamboo exterior and a plant fiber composite inner layer. The downside is that you'll have to wait until early October for the final case to start shipping.

Case-Mate Teases With iPhone 5 Cases

We previously reported that Case-Mate had put up a notification page letting its customers know that it'll have iPhone 5 cases ready as soon as the iPhone 5 will be released. Case-Mate has recently released its renders for its iPhone 5 cases and how they will look like on the radically redesigned iPhone 5. Is Case-Mate really desperate for some free coverage or does it really have reliable inside information as to the specific design and dimensions of the iPhone 5? Investing time and money in designing these iPhone 5 cases sure does look like Case-Mate actually have concrete information. From these iPhone 5 renders, it looks like the back side is designed similarly to the iPad 2 using aluminum. Case-Mate has since removed its iPhone 5 cases page. Rumors point out to an early October release of the much anticipated iPhone 5.
