AL13, The Nicest iPhone 5 Bumper Case You’ve Ever Seen

Purchasing the iPhone is an easy buy with it’s slick design, speedy software, and quality build, but It’s figuring out which case you want that takes the longest. All inclusive cases are usually bulky and expensive. Want something with a minimalist design? Say goodbye to protection. For those who have been looking for that perfect balance, look no further than the AL13 by “designed by m.”

Creators of the AL13 were looking for a sleek and high quality iPhone bumper case but could never find something that fit their needs. Cases were either too cheap in material and build quality or overly expensive and unaffordable. They decided that if they couldn’t find it on the market, they would craft it themselves. Welcome the AL13. The case features an aerospace aluminum build with rubber bumper interiors to keep your iPhone scratch free. It uses a slide cover so putting it on is super simple. It weighs less than 16 grams and comes with an anodized finish in red, black, silver and a special Kickstarter green. If Apple put in as much work into their iPhone bumper cases as they did their computers and tablets, this is what it would look like.

Be the envy of all your friends. Support designed by m and see to it that you get yourself the only case you’ll ever need. The goal of $20,000 has been reached but you’ve still got time to pick up a case before it retails for $79.99 in April. The early adopter price of $45 is not available anymore but you can still pre-order one for $55 and if you’re looking for the special edition green case, it’ll be $10 more.

OtterBox Waterproofs iPhone 5, Galaxy S3 With Armor Series Cases

OtterBox unveiled its impressive new Armor Series waterproof cases designed for the iPhone 5, iPhone 4/S and the Samsung Galaxy S3. The Armor Series case for the iPhone 5 in particular offers the same waterproof capabilities as LifeProof's Fre enabling you to submerge your iPhone 5 under 6.6ft of water for up to 30 minutes. However, because of its thick protective design, the Armor Series case can withstand higher 10ft drops compared to the Fre's 6ft maximum as well as withstand a crushing force of up to two tons.

Innovative design elements make the OtterBox Armor Series best in class when it comes to protection. Watertight latches, an o-ring seal, port covers and mesh coverings keep water out and allow the Armor Series to tolerate submersions for 30 minutes in up to 6.6 ft. of water. Vents and port covers are made of a non-permeable membrane and protective mesh layer that allows sound to move through while keeping harmful elements out.

The interior and exterior of the case features advanced materials that protect the device from 10 ft. drops. Over-molded bumpers in each corner of the case absorb shock and the high-strength reinforced plastic of the Armor Series can withstand up to two tons of force. Soft interior foam provides a cushioned, custom fit for the device, while the built-in screen protector prevents scratches and damage to the glass display.

Corrosion-resistant metal latches lock the two halves of the case together, providing simple, secure assembly. Port covers open easily for quick access to charging and headphone use without removing the case and a lanyard is included for convenient hands-free carrying.

OtterBox's Armor Series case will first be offered for the iPhone 4/S starting February 22, with the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3 variants soon to follow. No prices were announced.

SwitchEasy FreeRunner iPhone 5 Case Released

SwitchEasy has recently released its most protective case ever for the iPhone 5. We tend to feature SwitchEasy's cases more often than not duly due to the fact that the company always thinks of everything when creating a case that fits the bill. The new FreeRunner case offers 360 degree rugged drop, dust and scratch protection with its three-layer, slim construction. While this isn't SwitchEasy's most interesting pattern, it features a tough polycarbonate UltraFrame spine that snaps onto the back of the case which is made from a shock-absorbing TPV rubber material.

SwitchEasy's FreeRunner case is first to have a full, clear polycarbonate touch-sensitive panel that is a part of the FreeRunner's three-layers of protection. This hard polycarbonate screen panel protects the iPhone 5's screen better than a normal flimsy screen protector. It also features built-in ports plugs and a tactile jelly bean rubber home button which can be interchanged with one of the white and black buttons included with the case. The FreeRunner case for the iPhone 5 is available now in 6 colors for $35.

Spigen Ultra Flip iPhone 5 Case, The Samsung Flip Cover Clone

Admit it, Samsung's Flip Cover for its Galaxy S3 and Note 2 devices is a pretty neat accessory. Feeling left out because Apple hasn't released any official cases for the iPhone 5? Well now's your chance to get in on the flip cover action with Spigen's new Ultra Flip for the iPhone 5. Much like Samsung's Flip Cover, the Ultra Flip is a slim folio flip-style case with a protective, hard polycarboate snap-on back case that's coated with a metallic finish to blend in with the aluminum look of the iPhone 5. It has a flip cover attached to it made with a "luxurious" faux textured leather that keeps your iPhone 5's screen protected from scratches and grime while not in use. There's also an earpiece cutout so you can talk on the phone while the cover is flipped closed.

The interior holds one credit card or any type of card for that matter. The flip cover is lined using a soft microfiber chamude material to keep the screen nice and clean. And like Samsung's version, Spigen's Ultra Flip case uses no magnets to keep its screen cover down, unfortunately. Spigen's iPhone 5 Ultra Flip case is coming soon with no projected price, but we're betting it'll cost you around $35.

Update: It's now available for $38.

The TAKTIK STRIKE case - Designed to protect from the most extreme impacts and drops. STRIKE features the same patent-pending shock absorbing 9mm Impact Truss and ballistic bezels as TAKTIK EXTREME, as well as sealed audio and charging ports.

The SEISMIK case - Suspension Frame for iPhone 5. SEISMIK is built for the unexpected everyday drops in life.  SEISMIK utilizes the same patent-pending Impact Truss system of the TAKTIK series, providing a lean and mean case with serious drop protection for the iPhone.

The FLAK case - Dual-Layer Protection for iPhone 5. FLAK is lightweight armor for your iPhone constructed out of two low profile layers of protection. With an internal soft TPU material and an external hard polycarbonate outer shell, the materials create a thin, protective jacket for the iPhone.

These include the dual-mode Touch Pen, designed for seamless analog/digital workflow, and the new Chubby Stylus for artists of all ages.
