Diff, The iPhone 4 Case That Can Do It All?

Meet the iPhone 4 case that does just about anything you want. Well, only 8 things really but that's a heck of a lot for an iPhone 4 case don't you think? The Diff case for the iPhone 4 is yet another one of those Kickstarter projects waiting to come to life if enough people pay interest. This case offers 8 different nifty features, just check out the full list of goodies below:

  1.  Adjustable, Removable Sun Shade provides better outdoor screen visibility
  2.  Adjustable, Removable Privacy Hood for texting, tweets, social, web, email
  3.  Rigid Hard-Cover protects glass screen (snaps to front or back - your choice)
  4.  Two Brass-Treaded Tripod Mount holes (landscape or portrait)
  5.  Durable Phone Bumper protects phone if dropped
  6.  Shade/Privacy Hood doubles as KickStand (landscape or portrait)
  7.  Attach to Belt-Loop, Purse, Key Chain via Carabiner clip hole
  8.  Ergonomic “Corner Bump” offering more ways to hold & improved comfort & stability.

There you go, that's 8 useful features depending on your personal preferences. Well, granted some of these aren't really good enough to be considered as a full feature, but some of you may just find them useful enough to warrant a purchase. Some may even think this is simply too much stuff crammed into a single iPhone 4 case, while that may be true, the $30 pre-order price does seem tempting. Too bad the Diff isn't water-proof as well, then I would be sure to rack up a few. The Diff is definitely different.

Thanks for the tip, Cal!

Use Your Phone As A Portable Scanner With Scandy

Scanners and all-in-one printers are a thing of the past. Scandy is said to be the future of document scanning. It lets you turn any smartphone into a portable desk scanner using its built-in camera. We know the iPhone 4 has a superb camera on its back, but is that enough to entice users to start using it to scan important documents? Scandy thinks so. The Scandy is a beautifully designed telescoping stand arm made out of plastic and also comes in an aluminum version, allowing you to adjust the height in order to fit different sized documents or photos and scan them 10 times faster than a traditional scanner. The idea is to take non-blurry photos of documents. Scandy may have hit a new market for scanning solutions with this Ikea desk leg look-alike, but as far as I'm concerned, smartphones aren't ready yet to compete against the real deal.

Scandy is currently a new Kickstarter project, but you can already pre-order yours for $40 and $100 for the platinum aluminum anodized version.

EscapeCapsule Case Keeps Your iPhone 4 Dry Underwater

Planning a trip to the Caribbean islands? Those clear waters are surely a great idea to bring your iPhone 4 with you to take some epic video and photographs. Catalyst's new EscapeCapsule case for the iPhone 4 will help you do just that and more. The EscapeCapsule is a fully waterproof case that's touch enough to keep your iPhone 4 protected against water, sand, snow, rain, dust, mud, impacts, scratches and chocolate fudge. How's that for protection? Even the name of this case sounds safe enough for me to incase my iPhone 4 with it. This isn't the first case of its kind to offer all the above, the LifeProof case has been out for quite a while now and seems to be a little slimmer than the EscapeCapsule.

The EscapeCapsule case has an inner rubber layer for shock protection and is made out of a clear, high-impact polycarbonate hard outer shell for toughness and of course, to show off your glorious iPhone 4 and also the inner rubber gasket that creates the watertight seal that adds a splash of color. Specially designed membranes allow you to fully use the iPhone 4's buttons as well as allow sound to be recorded and transferred even while underwater so you can take a call no matter the situation. Well all this sounds good to me, and if it does to you too, you can head on over to Kickstarter to pre-order yours for $50 in black or blue. Once Catalyst's Kickstarter project is fully funded, the case will retail for $70.

Thanks for the tip, Josh!

Coolous Alien iPhone 4 Cases Are Alienlicious

Coolous was thinking outside the box when it designed these Alien cases for the iPhone 4 that have an alien-like back design that may or may not have strong inspiration taken from Alienware, the guys behind those powerful gaming PCs. Actually, that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw these cases. Coolous' Alien cases feature a hybrid design made up from an external, hard colored polycarbonate shell for impact protection coupled with a flexible, TPU inner layer for shock absorption. The Alien cases are expected to sell for $35. Paul would really appreciate these.

Tiger Design Blade 2 Aluminum iPhone 4 Case Images Leaked

It has been a while since we first reviewed Tiger Design's most wanted aluminum bumper for the iPhone 4, the Blade bumper. The Blade has been one of the most searched for aluminum bumpers for the iPhone 4 on Gadgetmac. A truly successful aluminum bumper from a Korean company that has been faked over and over again ever since it was released because of its popularity. This image amongst others has surfaced allegedly showing the Blade 2 aluminum case for the iPhone 4 sitting next to a pink Blade bumper. We're not sure what the "4th" writing engraved on the back means, but it's safe to say that this is a Blade 2 prototype. Tiger Design is known for manufacturing CNC aluminum parts and they have created yet another unique and interesting looking case with the Blade 2.

Besides the fully closed back and a new removable bottom design of the Blade 2, Tiger Design as also improved the speaker channelling to better direct the sound towards you rather than letting it slip downwards. You might want to keep an eye out for fake Blade bumpers on Tiger Design's fake Blade list page, and while you're there you might catch the Blade 2 as well.

Update: Turns out this isn't Tiger Design's Blade 2, but rather the M2 aluminum slider case made by 4th Design. That explains the "4th" engraving on the back.

It's about time iSkin refreshes up one of their most popular iPhone 4 cases that has been ripped off by many cheap knockoff companies due to the successful design that iSkin has creates with the circular pattern and semi-transparent colors. iSkin has refreshed the old circular pattern Solo cases with a new, much more modern looking abstracted pattern with the Solo FX SE case made from the same semi-transparent TPU materials. The updated Solo FX SE case is compatible with both the AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4 and is available right now in 4 colors for $34.99.
